Snake plants are very easy to grow, even in low light conditions; only watering it once a week is enough. It’s a slow growing plant and can reach meters high. Its leaves are long and flat, with a deep green color and white or yellow stripes.
Snake plant, mother-in-law’s tongue, or sansevieria is a genus of about 70 species of evergreen perennial flowering plants in the family Asparagaceae, subfamily Nolinoideae. The name sansevieria is derived from the Latin word sanseviārius meaning “from the city of Sansevieria” (now Siena) in Italy, where the plant was first discovered.
